29. Like everyone, a huge fan of traveling. B movies. 120 film. Scifi/post apocalyptic movies.. Spicy foods/strong beers. Every band should have an accordion or violin. I mostly take pictures of musicians for a living. My previous job was the same, but replace musicians w/dolphins. For the most part this is where I place recent photos, hoping someone out there will take a gander (and let me know what they think!). There's also the occasional nerdy reblog. No biggie. For more specifics, become a "friend" or "like" on the facebook.

East coast morning.

East coast morning.

More from the Pisgah Forest, North Carolina area. It’s kind of funny. I put cameras in remarkably dumb areas. I took other shots from the same perspective with varying shutter speeds - all of those you can see water frozen in time right before they nail the camera/lens. (I may post those later) This slower shutter speed shot… everything looks so calm and quiet. Even with minimal digital manipulation, photos lie.

Walking 3 miles up a mountain, we stopped for a few minutes. Right before continuing the hike, we noticed this little creature hanging out by our feet. It’s the little (big) things.

Just got back from western North Carolina.
Lots of pictures, weird adventures. Might even post the ones where we’re sliding down waterfalls with Bam Margera, which is totes no big deal. First, another of Triple Falls

Have some very important business in 2 weeks up towards Asheville, NC - so as a way to get excited for the trip, posting an image from last time in the area. Some things are simply too big, too grand to get a un-average photo. For instance Triple Falls . In those cases, it helps to look smaller and closer. Water droplets stopped in time can overpower 125 feet of moving water, at least for a second. Or in this case 1/1600th of a second.

Also, as a reminder to myself to read these later. Because the images are super.

Further reminding.

Fun Factoid, and because this needs to be reblogged. This photo was part of a series submitted to an art show in Florida. The crazy thing, the idea came about after reading too many words by Neil Gaiman and viewing his short, “Statuesque” (all introduced to me by the very pretty lady in the photo, also who was largely responsible for the subject matter). A few minutes ago, going through old pictures, I realized one of the images was liked by the “official Neil Gaiman” page. Which is insane. I’m skeptical if it was actually his hand doing the clicking, but it’s awesome regardless.Photo by Dan FlorezStatue: http://theethicsoflexicaltaboo.tumblr.com/

Another of Olympic super athlete and friend Chantae Mcmillan. An “in-between” shot from a set being submitted to a female fitness magazine (will tell later, if confirmed). As a personal back story - this shot was taken in the gym of my high school. I haven’t been there since I graduated 12 years ago - and had honestly forgot it exists (the weight room specifically). We used the school for it’s track - but after realizing the weight room wasn’t far away, took out two birds with one stone. Well, you know what I mean. Anyway, summary:
