A Day to Remember, live from a few days ago.

So, The Knux last night was a huge (but pleasant) surprise. Imagine 4 chord classic rock (think more T. Petty, less Van Hagar) songs with hip hop delivery. Lots of energy. Not exactly packed, but I’m pretty sure everyone there knew all the words (besides me). Checkkity check em out.

I love this photo. Kaki King was great the other day, and while I’m a fan, that’s not so much the reason.

Double exposure. Sent the roll through a Pentax k1000 (slr) down at the beach. Rewound it very slowly, listening for the sound of it delatching from the reel. Put the same roll back into a Yashica Lynx 1000 (rangefinder), and brought it to several concerts. Camera nerds rejoice. And so far is my favourite from this roll.

Film scanner? Totally an awesome idea.

Edit - actually, that is not all. This was a “What?! You’d like to hear another song?” encore moment after a few minute discussion about how awkward it is to wait around for the crowd to choose whether or not they want an encore. So she took a vote before playing some of her “final songs” about whether or not to play some bonus, but was kind enough to go through the “end of show” motions for the crowd.
